MS-13 Fugitive in Custody  

Del Rio, TX – Agents with US Customs and Border Patrol arrested Yelson Olider Castro-Licona, a.k.a. “Diablo” trying to cross into the US from Mexico near Del Rio, Texas on November 3, 2008. They took him into custody without incident.

Members of the Charlotte FBI Safe Streets Task Force were searching for Castro-Licona in connection with charges pending in a federal indictment in the Western District of North Carolina. A federal grand jury indicted 26 suspected members of MS-13 on June 24, 2008. Castro-Licona was named in the indictment for his involvement in violent crimes such as attempted robbery and extortion. He was deported to Honduras in January 2008, but has repeatedly tried to return to the Charlotte area.

Only one fugitive remains at large, Carlos Alberto Ferufino-Bonilla, aka “ Tigre.” He’s thought to be living in Northern Florida.

The Safe Streets Task Force is actively searching for Carlos Alberto Ferufino-Bonilla. If anyone has information that might lead to his arrest please call the Charlotte Field Office at 704-377-9200.

The Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Gastonia Police Department and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
