Robber Takes Over Bank, Forces Everyone to the Floor

Kannapolis, NC – FBI Agents and Kannapolis Police detectives need the public’s help in tracking down a man involved in a violent bank robbery at the Wachovia at 1501 South Cannon Street in Kannapolis, NC this morning.

Witnesses say the man rushed into the bank with a gun, then forced customers and employees to the floor. There were 13 people in the bank at the time of the robbery. Tellers gave a vague description of the robber; a black man about 5’9” tall. He was wearing a ski mask, an orange construction vest and a checkered shirt.
