State Employees Credit Union Robbery Suspect Captured

Charlotte, NC – Investigators with the Charlotte FBI Safe Streets Task Force arrested a suspect in a robbery of the State Employees Credit Union at 4720 Airport Center Parkway on April 1, 2008. Agents took Demetrius Starks (dob: 06/12/1986) into custody yesterday afternoon, August 14, 2008, at his Charlotte, North Carolina, residence. A teller was shot during the bank robbery.

 The Safe Streets Task Force is made up of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Probation and Parole, and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
