Raleigh, NC – Two men known as the “Interstate Bandits” robbed the First Citizens Bank at 4801 Capital Boulevard in Raleigh, NC this morning. The men entered the bank, vaulted the counter and grabbed money out of the cash drawers. They shoved several people during the robbery, but no one was hurt. These men are wanted in four states in connection with seven other bank robberies dating back to May 8, 2008. There have been seven robberies along interstate highways in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. Four have been in North Carolina; Huntersville, Cary, Concord and Raleigh. Investigators say these men are becoming more violent in each robbery. They need anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of these robbers to call the Charlotte Field Office of the FBI at 704-377-9200 or 911.
