SUNTRUST BANK ON SOUTH KINGS DRIVE IN CHARLOTTE IS ROBBED

 

Charlotte, NC – The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual who robbed the SunTrust Bank located at 101 South Kings Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina (NC).

On Thursday, December 13, 2007, at approximately 12:25 p.m., a lone male entered the bank, approached a bank teller, and demanded money from the teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect exited the bank. At this time, it is not known if the suspect fled the area on foot or in a vehicle. Although no weapon was observed or displayed during the robbery, the bank robber threatened use of a gun. However, there were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

The suspect was described as a black male with facial hair, approximately 5’9” – 10’ in height, medium build, and approximately 30s in age. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a dark baseball cap with an emblem on the front of the cap, a white dress shirt and dark-colored tie with horizontal stripes, dark slacks, and tennis shoes.

The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force is releasing the attached images from the bank’s surveillance system to help identify the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to contact the FBI at (704) 377-9200.
