FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASETHE SCOTTISH BANK ON MORRISON BOULEVARD IN CHARLOTTE IS ROBBED Charlotte, NC – The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual who recently robbed The Scottish Bank located at 6525 Morrison Boulevard, Charlotte, NC. On November 13, 2007, at approximately 11:14 a.m., a lone male entered the bank and presented one of the bank tellers with a bank robbery demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect exited the bank and fled the area. It is not known at this time if the suspect fled the area on foot or in a motor vehicle. No weapon was observed or displayed during the robbery, and there were no injuries as a result of the robbery. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’6” – 7” in height, weighing approximately 160 pounds, and about 50s in age. The suspect also had a large, reddish mark on the right side of his neck. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, sunglasses, and a long-sleeved pullover shirt. Investigators from the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the robbery and are pursuing several leads in this matter. The Safe Streets Task Force is releasing the attached image from the bank’s surveillance system to help further identify the suspect.
