FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEARMED SUSPECT ROBS BANK OF AMERICA ON GOLF LINKS DRIVE IN CHARLOTTECharlotte, NC - On October 24, 2007, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Bank of America branch located at 11020 Golf Links Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), was robbed at gunpoint by an individual armed with a revolver. The suspect entered the bank, approached one of the bank tellers, and demanded money from the teller at gunpoint. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot, although it is suspected that the suspect may have had a getaway vehicle parked nearby. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5'10" in height, weighing 160 pounds , 40s in age, and wearing dark clothing. Investigators from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) and the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force responded to the robbery and are still investigating.
