FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASESUNTRUST BANK ON MALLARD CREEK ROAD IS ROBBEDCharlotte, NC - The FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for the recent robbery of the SunTrust Bank located at 8121 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, North Carolina (NC). On October 10, 2007, at approximately 2:58 p.m., a lone male entered the bank, approached one of the bank tellers, and demanded money from the teller. The suspect also displayed a handgun, possibly a revolver. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6' in height, weighing approximately 180 pounds, 40s in age, and having facial stubble, possibly a goatee. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a navy blue New York Yankees baseball cap, sunglasses, a light-colored long-sleeved shirt over a dark-colored tee shirt, blue-jean pants, and white tennis shoes. The suspect also carried a white mesh bag, in which he placed the bank robbery loot. Investigators from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI Charlotte

bank's surveillance system to help further identify the suspect. Anyone
