FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEROBBERY AT BANK OF AMERICACharlotte, NC - On July 13, 2007, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Bank of America located at 2405 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), was robbed by a lone male who entered the bank and presented a note to one of the bank tellers. The note demanded money and indicated that the suspect was armed. However, no weapon was observed during the robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the area. It is not know at this time if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle. The suspect was described as a clean-shaven black male, approximately 5'8" in height with a slim build, and mid-20's in age. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black Yankees baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and blue-jean short pants. Investigators from the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI Safe
Streets Task Force anticipates releasing images from the bank's surveillance
system to help further identify the suspect as soon as the images
