ROBBERY AT TRULIANT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

Charlotte, NC  –  Today at approximately 9:20 a.m., the Truliant Federal Credit Union located at 9524 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), was robbed by a lone male armed with a handgun.  The suspect subsequently fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money, which included a “dye pack,” so the suspect, his clothing, and/or the bank robbery loot may be covered in red dye.    

The suspect  is described as a black male, approximately 5’6” in height, with a small build and weighing approximately 140 pounds.  At the time of the robbery, the suspect was dressed in all black clothing, including a black, hooded sweatshirt.  The suspect fled the area in a four-door sedan that was red in color and had tinted windows.     

Investigators from the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. 

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force is releasing the attached images from the bank’s surveillance system to help further identify the suspect.  Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to contact the FBI at (704) 377-9200.
