Charlotte, NC ---The Clearview Federal Credit Union located at 2830 Boyer Street, Charlotte, NC, was robbed today at approximately 9:25 a.m. by a lone suspect who entered the bank armed with a handgun and demanded cash from the tellers. The suspect subsequently fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male with light-brown skin tone and early 30's in age. The suspect was wearing a white plastic construction helmet, a black nylon-type mask, a blue work shirt, an orange mesh traffic vest, and blue jean pants.

Investigators from the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of agents, officers, and detectives from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina Probation and Parole, and other law enforcement agencies.

The FBI's Safe Street Task Force investigators are releasing the still images below from the bank surveillance system to help further identify the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect is requested to contact the FBI at 704-377-9200.
