Charlotte, NC ---The Wachovia Bank located at 712 Tyvola Road was robbed on June 4, 2007, at approximately 4:55 p.m. by a lone suspect who entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect subsequently fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5' 8" in height, skinny build, approximately 35 years of age, and as having a gray or gray/blonde pony tail. The suspect was wearing a blue baseball cap with sunglasses perched on the visor of the cap, a buttoned down shirt, and baggy pants.

Investigators from the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of agents, officers, and detectives from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina Probation and Parole, and other law enforcement agencies.

The FBI's Safe Street Task Force investigators are releasing the attached still images from the bank surveillance system to help further identify the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect is requested to contact the FBI at 704-377-9200.
