FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Charlotte, NC ---The SunTrust Bank, located at 276 Concord Parkway in Concord, was robbed today at approximately 10:30 a.m. by a lone suspect.

The suspect entered the bank, brandished a weapon, and demanded money. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5' 7" and 180 lbs., with a goatee, and wearing a black sweatshirt top and a rimmed hat.

According to statements, the suspect fled the bank in a white compact vehicle.

Investigators from the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force and the Concord Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of agents, officers, and detectives form the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina Probation and Parole, and other law enforcement agencies.
