Charlotte, NC ---The SunTrust Bank, located at 9617 Holly Point Drive in Huntersville, was robbed today at approximately 2:30 p.m. by a lone suspect.

The suspect entered the bank, brandished a weapon, and demanded money. The suspect is described as a white male, mid 30's, average build and was wearing a UNC hat, blue polo shirt, blue jean shorts and white shoes.

According to statements, the suspect left the bank in a white Ford Explorer.

Investigators from the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force and the Huntersville Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of agents, officers, and detectives form the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina Probation and Parole, and other law enforcement agencies.
