SUSPECTED ARMED SERIAL BANK ROBBER SOUGHT BY FBI


Charlotte, NC - An unknown suspect has been linked to 2 bank robberies in the Hillsborough and Carrboro area, and the FBI is requesting the public's assistance.

The suspect is identified as a black male, mid-30's, approximately 5'11" to 6," and a slim build, approximately 180lbs. He is also described as having a dread lock or braided hairstyle, and was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and dark colored pants. The suspect brandished a weapon to the bank tellers, and fled on foot from both banks.

This suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The following robbery locations and dates have been linked to this unknown suspect:

    • Cardinal State Bank, 100 South Churton Street, Hillsborough, on March 23, 2007, at approximately 9:50 a.m.
    • RBC Centura Bank, 300 W. Weaver Street, Carrboro, on March 28,2007, at approximately 9:50 a.m.
