Charlotte, NC---The Bank of America, located at 645 Park Street in Belmont, was robbed today at approximately 12:00 p.m.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Black male (light skin), approximately 6' 1", stocky build and either late 30's or early 40's. He was wearing blue overalls with white paint stains, a black toboggan and black gloves.

According to statements, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded money. The suspect then left in an older model Ford truck, driven by a Hispanic male.

Investigators from the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force and Belmont Police Department responded to the robbery and are still investigating. The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force is comprised of agents, officers, and detectives form the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina Probation and Parole, and other law enforcement agencies.
