FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:KIDNAPPED CHILD FROM ATLANTA FOUND HERE |

Charlotte, NC – A kidnapped minor, 3, from Atlanta was recovered and a woman arrested here Wednesday by agents and officers of the Charlotte FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force. Cherry Dunlap, 23, was arrested at 1206 Milan Street here and the minor child was returned safely to the father. Dunlap is the biological mother of the minor, but sole custody of the child belonged to the father. Dunlap was arrested under a Georgia state warrant from Cobb County for interfering with a custody order. She is being held by Mecklenburg County Sheriffs until the extradition hearing is scheduled. Participating in the Charlotte FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force are: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Community Corrections. The above law enforcement agencies are dedicated to focusing on violent crimes and apprehension of fugitives and other criminals. ###
