ARREST MADE FOR VIRGINIA FUGITIVECharlotte, NC - A fugitive felon from Virginia was captured by agents and officers of the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force here today. Delmah Raphael Poindexter, 38, was wanted by the Virginia State Police for abduction, attempted rape, forcible sodomy and firearms violations. Poindexter was listed on the Chesterfield County Law Enforcement Authorities Top 10 Most Wanted, and was considered to be armed and dangerous. FBI Safe Streets Task Force agents and officers arrested Poindexter at 4700 PineleafDrive here. The FBI's Safe Streets Task Force is ajoint, cooperative, law enforcement organization comprising of agents, officers and detectives from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Office and the North Carolina Probation and Parole.
