ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

Charlotte, NC - A Fayetteville attempted murder suspect was arrested Monday in Fayetteville by the FBI Fayetteville Resident Agency and the United States Marshals Service.

RODERICK MAURICE JONES, 41, of Fayetteville was arrested at 126 Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville without incident. JONES was arrested for an indictment against him from the Eastern District stemming from an attempted assault on a military policeman at Ft Bragg, in November 2005, where he allegedly tried to run over the military policeman with his car. His initial appearance was today in Fayetteville.

"This arrest exemplifies some of the outstanding investigative work done in Fayetteville and I am proud of the impressive teamwork displayed here in capturing this suspect," said Kevin B. Kendrick, Special Agent-in-Charge here.
