PRELIMINARY INQUIRY INTO CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS INITIATED IN GREENSBOROCharlotte, NC – Kevin B Kendrick, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in North Carolina here announces that a preliminary inquiry has been initiated regarding allegations of civil rights violations in the Greensboro Police Department. The FBI routinely responds to allegations of this nature due to the sensitivity of the violations. In this matter, the FBI Charlotte will conduct the preliminary inquiry. The FBI recognizes that civil rights violations, or even the allegation of violations, is a serious matter and aggressively investigates all credible allegations.
